ESPN and Luminous Team Up For Online Design

Luminous has teamed up with ESPN, The Worldwide Leader in Sports, for graphic and web design; and is currently designing ESPN E-Ticket articles at www.espn.com.

The latest E-Ticket article, titled "Dice-K 2.0", is an in-depth look into the upcoming phenomenal career of Japanese pitcher, Yu Darvish. E-Ticket's are featured stories that highlight athletes from various sports. Luminous is working closely with ESPN to develop more E-Ticket designs in the future.

Joel DuChesne, Luminous co-founder and Creative Director says,"As big sports fans, having the opportunity to work with someone like ESPN is really exciting to all of us. And visually they are used to doing very high-quality work, which allows us to stretch our creativity."

Luminous approached this project to be as creative as possible while maintaining a high level of professionalism in their design for ESPN. Although the article for the Yu Darvish E-Ticket was developed by ESPN, Luminous took the information and styled the page to fit the contents of the story.

ESPN, Inc., The Worldwide Leader in Sports, is the leading multinational, multimedia sports entertainment company featuring the broadest portfolio of multimedia sports assets with over 50 business entities. Based in Bristol, Ct., ESPN is 80 percent owned by ABC, Inc., which is an indirect subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company. The Hearst Corporation holds a 20 percent interest in ESPN.

Luminous is a full-service creative firm located in Everett, Washington. The primary focus of Luminous is creative design and web development. The company was founded in 1996.
